A 202-metre communications and observation tower in Duryu Park in south-west Daegu, the city's best-known landmark, standing on a hill in the middle of the park. From the enclosed observatory at the top you see all of Daegu in its ring of mountains. At the foot of the tower is a small theme park, E-World, with rides for children and adults, a monorail and a flower garden. It is known for its seasonal festivals: a cherry blossom festival in spring, when its paths fill with trees in bloom, and a winter light festival with millions of bulbs. The view from the tower is best at night, when the city sparkles below, and there is a revolving restaurant. You can buy an observatory-only ticket or a combined ticket with the theme park. The surrounding Duryu Park is large and free, with paths, lawns and a small lake. You reach it by metro and a short walk.
