Annandale Falls is a waterfall dropping from a rock face hung with plants into a clear green pool, in a forest park near St George's. It is the easiest of Grenada's waterfalls to reach, and visitors come from the capital on a short trip. The falls lie within the Grand Etang and Annandale Forest Reserves, which together form the largest protected land area in Grenada and are managed as one. Thick tropical plants surround the falls, with short paths between trees and spice plants. You go down short steps and stone paths to the pool and watch the water fall between coloured rock and hanging roots. A stone platform takes you close to the falls, where you feel the cool spray. The spot is small and quiet in the morning and busier when tour buses arrive. Do not jump from the rocks. The falls are 5.4 km in a straight line north-east of St George's and 2.6 km from Grand Etang Lake. A small entry fee is paid at the gate. The paths are slippery, so wear shoes with a good grip.
