Bahrain Financial Harbour and the Bahrain World Trade Center are two groups of towers on Manama's northern waterfront, forming Bahrain's best-known skyline. They are mainly commercial complexes, so people come less to go inside than to see them from King Faisal Highway and the corniche, especially at sunset. Construction of the Harbour began in 2003 on reclaimed land at the site of the old Manama pier. Its two main towers opened in May 2007, at a cost of about USD 1.5 billion across 380,000 sq m. The World Trade Center, designed by Atkins, followed in 2008 and rises 240 m over 50 floors. The World Trade Center stands out as the first skyscraper in the world to build wind turbines into its design. Three bridges link its two towers, each carrying a 225 kW turbine 29 m across, and the sail-shaped towers funnel Gulf breezes towards them. The taller Harbour twin towers rise alongside. Whether the turbines are turning depends on wind and maintenance. The Harbour is 500 m from Bab Al Bahrain and Manama Souq in a straight line, an easy walk after the market. We know of no public viewing deck, so enjoy the view from outside. The best photos come at sunset from the corniche, or at night when the towers are lit.

We know of no public viewing deck, as they are mainly offices. The view from the corniche and coast road is the point.
No. They depend on wind and maintenance, so you may see them still, but the shape of the towers is striking either way.
