Bilad Sayt is a mountain village in the wilayat of Bahla in Ad Dakhiliyah, Oman, on the northeast slope of the Al Hajar Mountains near Jebel Shams, the country's highest peak, about 32 km northwest of Nizwa and 14 km east of Jebel Shams in a straight line. The village can be reached through Wadi Al Sahtan and Wadi Bani Awf from the northeast, or via Al Hamra from the southwest, and only by four-wheel-drive vehicles. It had about 3,500 inhabitants in 2020, and its clustered mud-and-stone houses and terraced fields make it a tourist attraction. The earthy beige houses pile up on a rocky slope beneath towering rust-coloured cliffs, with green terraced fields and palm groves spreading below in striking contrast with the bare mountains around. A slender white minaret rises among them. Visitors drive the mountain dirt roads and stop at viewpoints above the village, then walk among the terraces and water channels. The village is lived in, so respect residents' privacy; the road is tough and suits only experienced drivers in a four-wheel drive.
