A stretch of about two kilometres of the road between the towns of Loboc and Bilar, lined on both sides by tall, closely planted mahogany trees, set out in a programme to reforest land that had been stripped bare. They have grown into a dense green canopy over the road. The trees stand straight and even in regular rows, the light filters dimly between them, and the air turns suddenly cool as you leave the hot open fields. The scene is like a tunnel of trees, and it is one of the best-known photo stops in Bohol. There is no gate and no fee: the forest is on the public road itself, every tour heading to the Chocolate Hills passes through, and most stop for a few minutes of photos. Cars and motorbikes use the road, so stand to the side and take care. It looks best in the morning or on an overcast day, when the light is soft. Do not expect walking trails: it is a short stop on the road.

Yes, as a short photo stop: it is on the way to the Chocolate Hills and free. A quarter of an hour is enough.
