Bioparc Valencia changed what a European zoo means: total immersion is its philosophy — no visible cages or bars, but rivers, rocks and hidden moats between you and the lions and gorillas, so you walk inside a miniature Africa: savanna with giraffes and rhino, equatorial forest with gorillas behind a waterfall, and Madagascar with lemurs literally leaping free around you. The purely African specialisation completes every habitat's detail — yielding the nearest safari Europe offers: elephants bathing before you, hyenas on rocks overhead, leopards behind touching-close glass. It sits at the Turia bed's western end (opposite the City of Arts) — so a riverbed bicycle links the Valencian family day's two poles: morning safari, evening aquarium.
