BioParque Vale Amazônia, formerly Vale's Zoobotanical Park, lies inside Carajás National Forest near Parauapebas in south-eastern Pará and is one of the most visited attractions in the region. The park has 29 enclosures and more than 360 animals, along with a herbarium, and visitors can see jaguars and endangered primates such as the pied tamarin. A jaguar cub named Xingu made his first public appearance there in July 2026. Entry is free, and it usually opens Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 to 16:00, closing on Mondays for maintenance, though sources differ on the hours. Because it lies inside the national forest, visitors must obtain prior authorisation at the forest gate or through the official website, so check before going.
