An observatory at the top of the LCT tower on Haeundae Beach, the second tallest building in Korea at 411.6 metres and 101 floors. The observatory opened in July 2020 and takes up floors 98 to 100, reached by lift in under a minute. What sets it apart from other towers is that the sea lies directly below: you look down on the whole of Haeundae Beach, Dongbaekseom Island, Gwangan Bridge, Dalmaji hill and the coast running east. The 100th floor has a glass-floored walkway above the beach, and the other two floors hold a café, a restaurant and a souvenir shop behind floor-to-ceiling windows. The view changes a great deal between day and night, and the best time is shortly before sunset, to see both. Choose a clear day, as sea fog sometimes hides the view in early summer. The entrance is on the beach side at the eastern end, within walking distance of Haeundae Station or Jungdong Station. The observatory combines easily with the beach and the Sky Capsule at Mipo next door.
