The Cachoeira do Tabuleiro falls freely for some 273 to 280 metres in the Espinhaço range near Conceição do Mato Dentro, the highest waterfall in Minas Gerais and the third highest in Brazil, into a pool 18 metres deep. The main pool reopened on 19 July 2026 after nearly five years closed, with instruments now monitoring the rock for tremors. The site opens 8:00-17:00; the trail to the top of the falls can only be started between 8:00 and 9:00, the pool trail until 14:00, and tickets are about R$10.
