The House of Father Toledo is an 18th-century mansion in Tiradentes, home from 1777 to 1789 of Father Carlos Correia de Toledo e Melo, one of the conspirators of the Inconfidência Mineira, the movement for the independence of Minas Gerais. The national heritage institute listed it on 4 August 1952. It went through many uses afterwards: home of the Tiradentes judge in the 1890s, then donated to the town in 1917 to house the court, then the town hall together with the court from 1930, until the town gave it in 1971 to the Rodrigo Mello Franco de Andrade Foundation. Today it houses the Padre Toledo House Museum. The colonial house has stone foundations, one floor and a basement, a three-sided roof of curved tiles, walls of moledo stone blocks, soapstone lintels on its facade and green schist cornerstones.
