Pan de Azúcar, «Sugar Loaf», is a cone-shaped mountain rising to 1,290 metres in the Sierras Chicas between Cosquín and Villa Allende, named for its likeness to the large conical sugar loaves once sold. Dense low woodland covers its slopes, and it occasionally gets snow on the coldest winter days. A chairlift more than a thousand metres long climbs near the top, giving a wide view: west over much of the Punilla valley and the town of Cosquín at the mountain's foot, east over Villa Allende, Unquillo and Córdoba city in the distance. There is a café and viewpoints on the slope, and you can also walk up. The chairlift runs daily, weather permitting, and Provincial Route E-54 crosses the mountain between the two valleys.
