A waterfall 22 metres high and 12 metres wide in a green valley inside the town of Seogwipo, and one of Jeju's three famous falls. Its name means «the pond where sky and land meet», and the water drops into a deep pool ringed by dark volcanic rock. A short, easy path leads to it, following the stream among subtropical trees and over small bridges, a ten-minute walk. The way is level and suits pushchairs and older visitors, which makes this the easiest waterfall on the island to reach. Flat rocks in front of the falls give a place to stand for photographs. What sets it apart is that it stays open into the night: the falls and the path are lit after sunset and the scene changes completely. That makes it a popular evening stop after a day of sightseeing. Do not confuse it with the three-tiered Cheonjeyeon falls in Jungmun; the names are close but the places are different. Swimming in the pool is not allowed.
