Superb snorkelling.
A white-sand cove fringed with coconut palms on Nusa Penida's west coast, facing a small rock in the water, with water as clear as crystal, as the name suggests. It is one of the best snorkelling spots in the Bali islands and the usual place to relax at the end of island tours. Underwater are coral reefs and colourful tropical fish close to shore, and divers have a rare chance of seeing the giant ocean sunfish seasonally, roughly July to October, and manta rays at nearby sites. The sunset from the bay is lovely. The fee is a token one, and snorkel gear is rented on the beach. Warning: currents outside the bay are strong and can be dangerous, so stay near the shore and swim only in the close area. Make it the last stop of your island tour to swim and relax before returning to the boat. Bring reef-safe sun cream.
