Daewangam Park is a coastal park in Ilsan, Dong District, Ulsan, South Korea, about 13 km east of the city centre in a straight line. It covers about 94 hectares, with the sands of Ilsan Beach next door. The park is known for the Ulgi lighthouse, and a 600-metre path through pine forest runs from the entrance to the lighthouse. At its far end stands the Daewangam rock, linked to land by the Daegwanggyo Bridge, built in 1995. The Daewangam Moonlight Festival has been held in the park on autumn evenings since 2012. Huge pink and brown boulders lie along the shore in strange shapes, like the bones of resting dinosaurs, with blue sea waves breaking against them. Green pines surround them, and the iron bridge crosses the water to the rock. Visitors walk through the pine forest to the coast, then cross the bridge to Daewangam for views over the sea. A walking route of about 4 km runs along the coast from the park to Ilsan Beach. Early morning is the nicest time.
