A stone complex on the edge of the mountains above the Dead Sea, on the road climbing from the shore towards Ma'in Hot Springs, with the Dead Sea Museum, a restaurant and a broad viewing terrace. From the terrace the view sweeps down over the Dead Sea, its blue water and white salt shores, with the hills on the far side, one of the finest outlooks in the area, especially before sunset. The small museum covers the Dead Sea's history, geology and rock formations, a useful stop for making sense of the place before or after the shore. Entry is about 2 JD, per visitor guides. The Wadi Himara trail above the sea starts nearby, and the complex combines well with Ma'in Hot Springs on one outing.
