A green dairy farm on the slopes of the Kundasang valley at the foot of Mount Kinabalu, covering some one hundred and ninety-nine hectares and nicknamed Sabah's Little New Zealand for its rolling pastures and black-and-white cows, whose breed was brought from New Zealand, with Kinabalu's summit behind. The farm has run since the 1980s and produces most of Sabah's cow's milk. Visitors enjoy activities children love: bottle-feeding calves, watching the milking, wandering the pastures and the goat and sheep pens, then tasting the farm's fresh milk, ice cream and yogurt. The official ticket for international visitors is about twenty ringgit per adult and ten per child, and booking online in advance is mandatory. Activities run from eight in the morning to half past four, with the cow barn open in the morning until half past twelve. Come early in the morning, when the air is clearer, Kinabalu's peak shows before the clouds cover it, and the activities are in full swing. Mornings are cool, so bring a jacket. Combine it with the Kinabalu Park headquarters and the Kundasang memorial in one day.
