Dhërmi Beach is a beach on the Ionian Sea in southern Albania, below the village of Dhërmi in the Himarë municipality of Vlorë County, about 38 km southeast of Vlorë in a straight line. By the coast road the village lies 42 km south of Vlorë and 69 km north of Sarandë. The village is built on a slope of the Ceraunian Mountains at about 200 metres, and the mountains run down to the southwest onto the Ionian coast, with Corfu visible in the distance to the south. An Ottoman register of 1583 records the village as a settlement of 50 households, and in the last decade the coast here has seen a boom in places to stay. The long beach of white pebbles and clear blue water lies beneath green mountains, with the white houses of the village stepping up the slope above. Along the rocky coast nearby, sea caves open in cliffs of white limestone, among them one known as the Pirates' Cave. Visitors swim and laze on the beach in summer, wander the lanes of the old village on the hillside, and some explore the sea caves by boat. The beach is crowded in July and August, so June and September are quieter while the sea stays warm.
