The Ponta Verde Lighthouse is a small lighthouse in the Ponta Verde district, one of the best-known seafront districts of Maceió, capital of Alagoas, and one of the distinctive landmarks of the city's coast. It is built of masonry on a reinforced concrete foundation, stands 11 metres tall and is painted in horizontal red and white stripes. Its light reaches 13 nautical miles, with a geographic range of 12, guiding ships along this stretch of coast. The lighthouse makes a photo stop on a walk along the Ponta Verde seafront, especially in the morning or at sunset, with views over the city's beaches and green water.
