Fervedouros are one of Jalapão's strangest sights: clear springs where water pushes up from below so strongly that the body cannot sink, and swimmers float as if on a cushion. Fervedouro Bela Vista, 3 km from the centre of São Félix do Tocantins, is the widest in Jalapão, a turquoise natural pool about 15 metres across, and the best equipped, with a guesthouse, restaurant, toilets and a campsite. Entry is about R$60 in 2026 and is often included in agency packages. Time in the water is limited, usually about twenty minutes per group of six to ten people, and from 18:00 to 8:00 the spring is reserved for guesthouse guests.
