**Yes โ but as part of an evening, not as a destination in itself.** โ **What it gives**: **genuine quiet** โ Frikes is among the quietest things you will find in summer Greece, **even in August**; **tavernas directly on the water** at lower prices than Kioni; **and a sunset** over the sea from the quay. โ **What it does not give**: **nothing to visit**. No archaeological site, no museum, no sandy beach, no shops and no nightlife โ **anyone arriving expecting a programme will leave within ten minutes**. โ **The right use**: **make it the first stop of a northern evening** โ arrive at sunset, sit on the quay with a drink, **then move to Kioni for dinner** (five minutes). โ **Or the reverse**: a quiet lunch in Frikes, **then Kioni in the evening** when the yachts come in. โ **A practical advantage**: **seasonal ferries** run from here to Lefkada and Kefalonia โ **useful if you are combining the Ionian islands**, โ **but the timetable shifts**, so check and do not build a flight time on it.

**A very small fishing harbour in northern Ithaca โ a few buildings, a windmill and some boats** โ five minutes from Kioni. It is **smaller than a village**: **one quay** with a handful of waterside tavernas, moored fishing boats and yachts, **a few houses** on the slope behind, and a **stone windmill** at the end. โ **Small ferries leave from here** for **Lefkada** and **Kefalonia** seasonally โ it is Ithaca's northern outlet. โ **Its value is its quiet**: almost no crowds even in August, **tavernas directly on the water**, and the sunset out over the sea. โ **There is nothing to visit**: no site, no museum, no sandy beach โ **you come to eat, sit and look**. โ And it combines with Kioni in one evening.
