The main museum of Fujian province, on the shore of Fuzhou's West Lake, holding nearly 170,000 relics and natural specimens, more than 30,000 of them precious. Its halls trace Fujian's history from the Neolithic to modern times; highlights include a Western Han wooden canoe, Southern Song inkstones and tools, and textiles and finds from tombs of that era, alongside a natural history section and temporary exhibitions. Entry is free with advance booking through the museum's official WeChat account, the only channel, Tuesday to Friday from 9 am to 6 pm and until 8 pm at weekends, closed on Mondays except public holidays, per visitor guides.
