A seasonal culture and entertainment destination in Dubai, with pavilions showing the cultures and traditions of countries around the world, plus restaurants, shows and rides. It began in January 1997 as a row of kiosks by the Creek, later moved to its present site in Wadi Al Safa, and draws about six million visitors a season. Each pavilion has a facade inspired by its country's landmarks, from domes and forts to decorated gates, and sells what the country is known for, from carpets and spices to handicrafts and sweets. Around the lake are stages for performances, a funfair and food markets from cuisines across the world. The pavilions light up at night and reflect in the lake, and the season brings fireworks and concerts by regional and international artists. Season 31 runs from 14 October 2026 to May 2027. It opens Sunday to Wednesday from 16:00 to midnight, and Thursday to Saturday and public holidays until 01:00, with Tuesdays reserved for families, couples and ladies, according to the official site. Tickets are about 25 AED on weekdays and 30 AED at weekends, per news reports, and entry is free for people of determination with a companion.
