A park on the summit of Jabal Dhirah in central Abha, the highest point in the city, with a view over all of Abha. It is called the Green Mountain because its slopes are planted in terraces lit green at night, so the hill glows above the city. On top are restaurants, cafés and terraces with a view, and a station for the cable car whose cabins glide over the city's neighbourhoods. The hour before sunset is the time to go up and watch Abha's lights come on. Many visitors pair the Green Mountain with Abha Dam Lake on the west side of the city, from whose shores the lit-up hill stands out clearly at night. The park is free to wander, and the cable car has its own ticket. Abha is nicknamed the «Lady of the Fog», and mist can cover the summit in summer, so bring a light jacket for the evening.
