A crescent-shaped beach about 1.4 kilometres long, west of Haeundae, known for its head-on view of Gwangan Bridge. The suspension bridge runs for more than seven kilometres across the bay and is the second longest bridge in Korea; it opened in 2003 and is lit at night in changing colours that reflect on the water. That is why people come here in the evening more than by day. Cafés and restaurants line the seafront, their upper floors facing the bridge, and people sit on the sand and the steps until late. Every Saturday a light show with hundreds of drones is staged over the sea. It is free and lasts about 12 minutes: at 20:00 and 22:00 from March to September, and at 19:00 and 21:00 from October to February, according to the city of Busan. It can be cancelled for rain or wind, or when it clashes with other events. In autumn the Busan Fireworks Festival is held here. Swimming is possible in July and August, and the water is calmer than at Haeundae. Arrive half an hour before the drone show to find a spot near the middle of the beach.
