Khao Yai's best-known and most accessible waterfall, dropping about twenty metres from a rock ledge into a wide pool ringed by forest, and splitting into two side-by-side falls in the rainy season. It became world famous in the 2000 film The Beach, in a scene where the actors jump from its top into the water. The paved road ends at a car park close by, then a short path and stair lead down to the pool's edge, with big boulders to sit on and photograph the falls. A longer forest trail runs from the car park to smaller falls for those who want to walk, best with a guide. Swimming and jumping are forbidden, as the current is strong and the rocks slippery. The waterfall is covered by the park fee, with no extra charge. It is strongest from August to November after the rains and weakens late in the dry season. Come in the morning before the tour buses; the car park fills in the afternoon on holidays. There are small stalls for drinks and snacks at the car park, and mind the monkeys around them.

No: swimming and jumping are forbidden because of the strong current and dangerous rocks.
