A museum at the tomb of Liu He, one of the strangest figures of the Western Han dynasty: he was made emperor in 74 BC, deposed after only 27 days and demoted to Marquis of Haihun in this area, where he was buried. The tomb was found in 2011 within a group of nine tombs and is one of the richest Han tombs ever found, yielding some 20,000 objects, among them more than 300 gold pieces including ingots shaped like horses' hooves, about two million bronze coins, and a mirror bearing the earliest known image of Confucius; the museum displays these treasures beside an archaeological park with the tombs and the ruins of the old town. Tickets cost CNY 60 with real-name booking one to thirty days ahead through the archaeological park's WeChat account or website, and it is open from 9 am to 5 pm, per visitor guides.
