A large theme park in eastern Beijing, opened in July 2006 on 56 hectares as the second park in China's Happy Valley chain. It has more than forty rides, ten of them thrill rides, along with live shows and a big-screen cinema. The park is laid out in seven themed zones, among them Atlantis, Lost Maya, Aegean Harbour, Fjord Forest and Dessert Kingdom, with roller coasters, water rides suited to summer and gentler rides for small children. Adult day tickets start at CNY 299 and rise on peak days, and the park is open on weekdays from 10 am to 5.30 pm and at weekends until 7.30 pm, per visitor guides. Restaurants inside are mostly Chinese and fast food, and halal food is not guaranteed.
