Disney's theme park on Lantau Island, opened on 12 September 2005 and the smallest Disneyland in the world by capacity, which makes it less crowded and easier to get around than its sisters; most of it can be seen in a day. It has eight lands, including Main Street, U.S.A., Fantasyland, Adventureland, Tomorrowland and Toy Story Land, the newest being World of Frozen, and at its centre stands the Castle of Magical Dreams, unveiled in its new form in 2020. Many evenings close with a night-time show lighting up the castle; children love the character meet-and-greets, shows and parades, while older visitors head for the roller coasters of mountainous Grizzly Gulch and elsewhere. Ticket prices vary by date, from about HK$639 to HK$879 for adults, per visitor guides. A dedicated metro line with Mickey-shaped windows takes you there; pick a weekday outside school holidays for shorter queues.
