Hopi Hari is a theme park at kilometre 72 of the Bandeirantes highway in Vinhedo, São Paulo state, about thirty kilometres from Campinas and seventy-two from São Paulo. It covers 76 hectares and is considered the second-largest amusement park in Brazil. It opened on 27 November 1999, designed by a specialist American company on the model of a theme park in Cincinnati. It was originally planned under the Playcenter group, but the economic crisis of the 1990s forced a sale during construction and a change of name to «Hopi Hari», an imaginary country with its own invented language spoken by its fictional inhabitants. The park is divided into themed areas with roller coasters, water rides, shows and children's attractions, and it is part of a leisure complex that also includes the Wet'n Wild water park, shopping centres and a hotel. Buy tickets online, check opening days, and go on a weekday to avoid queues.
