Inani is a long sandy beach on the Bay of Bengal in southeastern Bangladesh. Soft sand stretches into the distance, green hills slope down to the shore, palms line the coast road, and fishing boats sit on the water at sunset. It is part of the long Cox's Bazar beach and runs 18 km in Ukhia, in Cox's Bazar District. It is known for its many coral stones, which look black and green, show in the summer and rainy seasons, and are very sharp. You walk the sand, sit by the water and watch the sun set over the sea behind the fishing boats. The drive from Cox's Bazar follows a coastal road between the hills and the sea. The beach is about 22 km in a straight line south of Cox's Bazar. The coral stones are sharp, so wear shoes on them, and swim with care, as most stretches have no lifeguards. The UK warns of flooding and landslides around Cox's Bazar in the rainy season.
