Honestly: if the series means nothing to you, no โ the pier is small, crowded and charged for, and the village, while pretty, differs little from other lake villages. Make it a short stop on a Lake Brienz boat circuit with Giessbach and Brienz, not a trip of its own. For fans of the series: an enjoyable experience โ go late to avoid the tour groups.

Iseltwald is a small fishing village on a peninsula reaching into Lake Brienz, with about four hundred inhabitants, wooden houses, a little harbour and a small private castle โ one of the region's quietest and most vividly coloured spots, since the lake water here is exceptionally clear turquoise from glacial rivers. It became suddenly world-famous in 2020 when a scene from the Korean series **Crash Landing on You** was filmed on its **wooden pier** โ turning the pier into a destination for thousands of Asian visitors a year, until the village had to install a gate with a token fee to manage the crowding and photography on it. Beyond the pier the village remains what it was: a lovely lakeside walking path to Giessbach, a boat landing, water for summer swimming, and a restaurant or two. A pretty short stop on a Lake Brienz outing โ not a full-day destination.
