The Jundiaí Botanical Garden is a municipal green space opened on 29 December 2004 after the site was restored, now covering about 150,000 square metres according to the city. It gathers plant collections from two great biomes of São Paulo state: the Atlantic Forest and the Cerrado, the Brazilian savanna. The garden is used for environmental education and school visits, with trails among its trees and planted collections. In 2014 it was named among the state's «100 unmissable destinations», and in 2026 improvement works added a new portal-shaped entrance and renovated facilities. It suits a quiet morning walk; sources differ on opening time, between six and eight in the morning, so check current hours with the city before going.
