Jaz is a beach in Budva municipality on the Montenegrin coast, about 2.5 km west of central Budva, roughly 3 km in a straight line. It is one of the longest beaches in the country and a popular spot for sunbathing, swimming and camping. The beach has two sections, one about 850 metres long and the other about 450 metres, and it is made of fine pebbles. A campground runs along the main section with room for 2,000 pitches. Part of the area was remodelled for major concerts, with a stage, backstage facilities and seating for over 40,000, and it has hosted global acts. The wide land behind the beach is one of the few undeveloped stretches left on the Montenegrin coast. A wide, curving bay of clear blue water is ringed by green, wooded hills, with colourful umbrellas lining the pebbles in summer. From the hills above, the whole bay and the open sea come into view. Visitors swim in the clear water, rent umbrellas, and some stay at the campground, reaching it by car or bus from Budva. It is quieter in early and late summer.
