A rebuilt government compound on the north shore of Baogong Lake in Kaifeng, recreating the office of the capital's governor under the Northern Song, when Kaifeng was China's capital. It is linked with Judge Bao Zheng, famed for his honesty and fairness, who became a popular symbol of the just judge. Court halls, offices, a prison and gardens in old style spread around wide courtyards under red and yellow roofs, with daily shows re-enacting the opening of the office and court sessions in the manner of the time, all overlooking the lake. The day ticket costs CNY 65 and the evening show ticket 90, per visitor guides, and it pairs easily with Kaifeng's old streets and the sights of the city centre.
