Not for the building alone. But Zeist and its surroundings deserve half a day by bicycle: woods, paths and several country estates, with the nearby Slot Zeist open to visitors and its grounds extensive. Make the trip about the area with the building as a point in it.
Major railway stations have a public bicycle hire service, and rental shops are common in the cities. The paths are separated from traffic and numbered by a node system that is easy to follow, and this is the best way to see the Dutch countryside without a car.

A large early twentieth-century country house in the town of Zeist east of Utrecht, built in a castle-imitating style amid wooded grounds. Despite the name it is neither a defensive building nor medieval: it was raised around 1908 as a grand country residence for a wealthy family, with turrets, steep roofs and stone fronts evoking a castle's appearance without its function. That was a common taste in the Netherlands at the time. One thing should be clear before going: the building is in private use and is not visited inside. What you do is look at it from the public road and walk in the wooded surroundings. Its real value is that it sits within the belt of woods and country estates east of Utrecht, an area Dutch people go to for walking and cycling, holding several historic estates and forest paths. Make it a point within an outing in that area rather than a destination in itself: the value is in the woods and the cycling, and the building is a fine detail along the way.
