Three-tiered falls tumbling through the forest of south-west Cebu, their milky turquoise water clear and spring-fed, pouring into broad pools that invite a swim. The largest is about forty metres high, framed by forest and rock, with a big pool below where bamboo rafts carry you under the spray. You reach the first fall on a short walk of about twenty minutes along the riverbank from the coast road. The adventurous come by canyoneering instead: hours of travelling down the canyon, swimming and jumping from rocks into pools, until the route ends at Kawasan. Canyoneering has been allowed only with accredited guides since a rockfall in 2025, and includes helmet, life vest, shoes and lunch. Most jumps are optional, and the life vest is compulsory. Arrive early before the buses from Cebu, as it gets crowded from midday. Bring cash, as there is no cash machine on site. The province set aside funds in 2026 to rehabilitate the site, so ask which parts are open before you go.
