Kullaberg is a peninsula and nature reserve reaching into the Kattegat near the village of Mölle in Scania, southwest Sweden. It lies about 31 km in a straight line from Helsingborg. The reserve is rich in biodiversity and rare species and is an Important Bird Area. Steep cliffs rising from the sea and rocky outcrops along the ridge dominate it, the highest point being Håkull at 188 metres. Mixed woodland of birch, beech, oak and pine covers the ridge. At its western tip stands Kullen Lighthouse, designed by Magnus Dahlander in 1898 and considered the brightest in Sweden. Sharp grey and pink rock cliffs drop to a deep blue sea, topped with green trees. The small stone lighthouse sits on open grassland above the water, and small coves with pebble beaches hide below the cliffs. Many walking trails cross the reserve and lead down to the coves. Some paths down to the sea are very steep, so wear proper shoes.
