Conditionally. Interlaken is not an art destination, and on a clear day your time belongs on the mountains rather than in a gallery. But on a wet or foggy day when the excursions are cancelled, it is one of the few options in town. Check the programme first.
The Interlaken monastery and its surroundings can be walked for free, and the trains to the lakeside towns run in any weather. The St Beatus caves and the area's museums are other indoor options if the weather is poor for days.

A small art gallery in central Interlaken, running temporary exhibitions by Swiss and international artists without keeping a permanent collection. That means the value of a visit depends entirely on what is showing on your date. Exhibitions rotate several times a year, and you may find the gallery between shows and closed altogether. Check the programme before planning to go in, not after. A place like this in Interlaken is unexpected: the town is a base for mountain sport and trips to the Jungfrau and the Schilthorn, and most of its visitors are not looking for art. That is why the gallery stays entirely quiet even at the height of the season. Its real practical value is as an option for a wet day. Weather in the Bernese Oberland is changeable, mountain excursions get cancelled or lose their point in fog, and at that moment the choices within Interlaken itself become very limited.
