Jasna is a pair of connected artificial lakes near the town of Kranjska Gora in northwest Slovenia, on the road to the Vršič mountain pass, about 1 km south of Kranjska Gora in a straight line. The lakes were made for tourism at the confluence of the Mala and Velika Pišnica streams, with a small natural canyon and a hidden hydroelectric plant nearby. Walking paths circle them, and a forest path along the Mala Pišnica valley starts here. A bronze statue of an ibex stands on a natural rock by the lake. Clear turquoise water lies on edges of white gravel, with sharp, forested peaks of the Julian Alps rising behind and mirrored on the still surface on calm days. In summer people sit on the gravel shore, and in autumn the woods around turn colour. Visitors walk around the lake in a short time, and sit on the gravel shore. It lies on the Vršič Pass road, making a short stop for anyone crossing the mountains, and early morning gives the best reflections.
