Asia's first LEGOLAND, opened in September 2012 in Iskandar Puteri west of Johor Bahru, with more than forty rides, shows and attractions built wholly or largely from the famous LEGO bricks. Around it are a water park opened in 2013, a SEA LIFE aquarium and a LEGO-themed hotel. The best part for children is Miniland, where Asia's famous landmarks are built in miniature from millions of bricks, among them the Petronas Towers, alongside rides suited to children from about two to twelve: cars the children drive themselves, trains, castles and shows. Thrill-seeking adults will find the rides fairly gentle. Official prices start from about two hundred and five ringgit per adult and one hundred and seventy-five per child for the theme park alone, about one hundred and forty-nine for the water park, and about three hundred and forty-five for all three parks, with under-threes free. It usually opens from ten to six, with last entry at five. Book ahead on the official website, as online prices are usually lower than at the gate. Allow a full day, and bring hats, sun cream and water, as most paths are exposed; avoid school holidays if you can.

It is designed mainly for children up to about twelve, so teenagers find it tame. With young children, though, it is one of the most enjoyable days of a Malaysia trip.
