Birds and fish.
Mata do Ipê Ecological Park is a densely wooded municipal park in Uberaba, Minas Gerais, created in 1976, and since then part of community projects in environmental awareness and recreation for students and visitors. The park keeps a varied wildlife, with ducks, geese, peacocks, fish and turtles, and birds are often seen feeding on the fish in its lakes. Its vegetation is mainly semi-deciduous forest, along with introduced species that help the local microclimate and shelter birds. The park offers scheduled nature walks on its trails, with signs identifying the most notable species, giving visitors direct contact with nature inside the city. It suits a quiet stroll in the morning or late afternoon and pairs well with the Dinosaur Museum at Peirópolis.
