Children adore it (the buttons and motion), but adults enjoy the models' precision and recognising landmarks they have visited or plan to. For families it is among Brussels' best experiences; for adults alone: fun for an hour, but the Atomium comes first. Take the combined ticket.

Mini-Europe is a miniature park at the foot of the Atomium: about 350 models at 1:25 scale of Europe's most famous landmarks โ Big Ben, the Eiffel Tower, the Acropolis, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, Venice with its canals, and the Grand-Place itself โ arranged country by country in a pretty garden you walk through like a giant across the continent. It is not static: movement is everywhere โ trains run, Vesuvius erupts, the fall of the Berlin Wall is triggered by a button, planes take off, bells ring. The models are astonishingly detailed (some took years), with information panels on each country โ an educational amusement about a united Europe suited to children and adults. Right beside the Atomium (combined ticket), with seasonal opening (mid-March to early January). An ideal family half-day at Heysel.
