A miniature park opened in 1986, with detailed models of Thailand's best-known landmarks in its Mini Siam section and world landmarks in Mini Europe. Kasem Kasemkietsakul started it out of a love of architecture, and its first model was Bangkok's Democracy Monument. In the Thai section you see the Grand Palace, Wat Arun and the temples of Ayutthaya and Sukhothai in small scale; in the world section the Eiffel Tower, the Statue of Liberty, London's Tower Bridge, the Sydney Opera House and more. It is fun for children and for playful photographs beside the miniature landmarks. Tickets are about two hundred and fifty baht, and the park opens from morning until late evening. The best time is just before and after sunset, when the heat eases and the models are lit. A visit takes one to two hours; the park is exposed to the sun, so avoid midday. It is on Sukhumvit Road north of the city, close to the Sanctuary of Truth.

It is most fun for children, families and photos, and one to two hours is enough. If you have seen the Ancient City near Bangkok, this is far smaller.
