On the cliffs.
The Chapada dos Guimarães Viewpoint, known as the «Geodesic Centre» viewpoint, is a lookout in the town of Chapada dos Guimarães, Mato Grosso, on the south face of the towering cliffs that edge the plateau. It gives a wide view towards the Pantanal plain, with Cuiabá visible on the horizon. The viewpoint holds a geodesic marker commonly described as the «centre of South America», the point equidistant from the Atlantic and Pacific oceans. Geographers, however, see it as a complement to the marker in Cuiabá, which they regard as the exact centre of the continent, so the viewpoint is the «natural monument» to that centre. It was listed as heritage on 15 March 2010. It is one of the most visited spots in the Chapada, especially at sunset, when the red cliffs and the vast plain take on warm colours. It combines in a day with the national park and its nearby viewpoints and waterfalls. Take care near the cliff edges.

It is often called that, but geographers place the exact point at Cuiabá's marker.
