The Mirusha Waterfalls are a chain of falls and lakes in Mirusha Park in central Kosovo, roughly halfway between Prizren and Peja. Over time the Mirusha River has carved a canyon about 10 kilometres long and formed 13 lakes linked by waterfalls, along with caves and hollows in the rock. The highest fall, between the sixth and seventh lakes, drops 22 metres; white rock walls surround the pools, and some cliffs are used for high-diving competitions in summer. It is one of the most visited places in Kosovo, where people come to walk the canyon paths, swim and sit in the shade. It is about an hour by car from Prizren or Peja, and visiting is free. The paths between the lakes are rocky and sometimes slippery, so wear suitable shoes, and avoid the days after heavy rain, when the water rises and turns muddy.
