The Mostnica is a mountain stream in Bohinj, inside Triglav National Park in northwest Slovenia, that cuts a narrow gorge near the village of Stara Fužina, about 2 km north of Lake Bohinj and 19 km west of Bled in a straight line. The stream rises at the head of the Voje valley, fed from the Uskovnica pastures and the southern slopes of Mount Tosc. About a hundred metres from its source three waterfalls drop over a limestone wall, the middle one, Mostnica Falls, about 20 metres high; the stream then runs through the gorge, joins the Ribnica and flows into the Sava Bohinjka. Clear green water twists through a deep, narrow gorge between smoothly carved white limestone, its edges covered in moss and forest. An old arched stone bridge known as the Devil's Bridge crosses the gorge, and a carved rock shaped like a little elephant stands in the water. Visitors follow a path along the gorge between wooden and stone bridges, and many continue up the Voje valley to the falls at its head, a walk of about half a day. The path is fairly easy, and the visit pairs well with Lake Bohinj.
