A scenic mountain area at the eastern tip of the Taihang range in Jingxing County, its name meaning «green cliff mountain». It pairs sheer rock faces and cypress woods with historic buildings set into the cliffs, and its highest point is about 1,000 m. Its best-known building is the Bridge Hall, standing on an arched stone bridge that spans a deep gorge between two cliffs, one of China's most famous hanging buildings. It belongs to the Fuqing Temple, first built under the Sui; legend says Princess Nanyang, daughter of Emperor Yang, withdrew here, and scenes of «Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon» were filmed at the hall. Tickets cost CNY 70 from March to November and 60 in winter, open from 7.30 am to 5.30 pm, per visitor guides; there are many steps and a cable car, and visitors are asked to keep quiet in the temples.
