A long white-sand beach about 40-50 kilometres west of Salalah per visitor guides, framed by towering cliffs and the blue Arabian Sea. At its western end is Marneef Cave, a great rock overhang beneath the cliff, and nearby are holes in the rock where seawater shoots up like fountains when strong waves hit the shore, especially in the khareef season. A boardwalk along the cliff edge leads to them. A small lagoon lies behind the beach, which has shelters and family seating along it. The visit is free. Waves are strong in the khareef season from June to September, making swimming dangerous, so just enjoy the view then; winter is calmer for swimming and walks. At the blowholes, stay behind the railings, as the rocks are slippery.
