Life-size.
The Carmen Funes Museum is a municipal palaeontology museum in Plaza Huincul, known for its dinosaur fossils, including the only known specimen of Argentinosaurus, among the largest dinosaurs ever found, and eggs and embryos of sauropod dinosaurs discovered at a huge nesting site at Auca Mahuida in Patagonia. Its hall holds a life-size replica of the Argentinosaurus skeleton that fills the room with its huge length, alongside other fossils and workshops where researchers prepare bones. It was founded by the palaeontologist Rodolfo Coria and works with museums abroad on its digs. It opens daily and on holidays from 09:00 to 19:00 for a small entry fee. It lies on National Route 22, a handy stop on the way between Neuquén and the Andes.
