Guarani tradition.
The Antônio Selistre de Campos Museum in Chapecó, western Santa Catarina, holds the archaeological collection assembled by the judge Antônio Selistre de Campos, which passed to the municipal museum created in 1978; most of its pieces belong to the Guarani tradition. Sources describe the collection as archaeological and ethnological, linked to the hunter-gatherer and pottery-making groups who lived in the region before colonisation, along with items from the Yanomami and Charrua peoples. It is now in the care of the Chapecó Museum of History and Art. The museum stands in the old city hall building on Avenida Getúlio Vargas in the city centre and suits a short visit for anyone interested in the Indigenous history of southern Brazil. The only published hours are old, so check before going.
